The collection of information and how we use it

FIFA collects the following categories of personal information when you register for an account: contact data such as email address, last name and first name.

FIFA collects personal information to provide and improve the FIFA AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVES, services, and/or FIFA content, their features, to administer your membership, to provide you with the services you request; to manage your account; to communicate with you in general; to respond to your questions and comments; to prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities; to enforce Our Terms located at (Terms  of  Services); and  as otherwise specifically indicated to you upon collection of your relevant personal information.

FIFA will comply with the obligations and safeguard the Data Subject's rights under Swiss law, EU laws with respect to personal data which FIFA is subject to; and any other applicable law with respect to personal data, which FIFA is subject to ("Applicable Data Protection Laws"). 

FIFA will process and store the Personal Data securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the purposes for which it was first collected.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

Personal information may be transferred to third parties performing services on FIFA’s behalf for the purposes mentioned herein, and in particular to Imagen Ltd (UK) By accessing and using the FIFA Audiovisual Archives or submitting your personal information to us, you specifically agree to that transfer.

The Personal Data will not be used, processed, stored or transmitted by FIFA over and above the scope described herein.

Storage of Personal Data and Data Security

Some or all of the Personal Data may be stored outside the European Economic Area (EEA). If FIFA stores and processes Personal Data outside the EEA, it will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the EEA and under the Applicable Data Protection Laws. Such measures might include the conclusion of data transfer agreements on the basis of the relevant EU model clauses.

Data security is very important to FIFA. In order to protect the Personal Data, suitable measures to safeguard and secure the Personal Data have been put into place.


FIFA may collect some information about your computer when you visit the FIFA AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVES, regardless of whether you have registered for an account or not by just browsing our servers. Changes to this Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice may be amended from time to time. If we amend this Privacy Notice, we shall place an updated version on this page of the FIFA AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVES. The FIFA AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVES may also provide notices of changes to this Privacy Notice or other matters by displaying notices or links to notices on or within the FIFA AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVES.

Jurisdiction and applicable law

This Privacy Notice and all matters arising out of or related to this Privacy Notice shall be governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without regards to conflicts of laws and principles thereof and to the exclusion of the Vienna convention of the international sale of goods.

Any controversy, claim or dispute between you and FIFA arising out of or relating to this Privacy Notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Zurich, and each party hereby irrevocably consents to the jurisdiction and venue of such Court.
