Information on the Change of Authentication Method (Entra ID)
Dear User,
To increase the security of your data, you will have to merge your actual login to FIFA Entra ID by April 5th, 2024.
This procedure is compulsory and must be done only by yourself.
Please follow the below instructions.
In case you may face an issue, please get in touch with archivesinfo@fifa.org.
We thank you very much for your comprehension.

Changes explained
- FIFA Single Sign On soon will be the only option to login. The Client Login option will disappear on Monday 8 Apr 24
- Your existing Client Login account will be merged into an Entra ID account
Steps to complete your switch to Entra ID
- Log out of FIFA Archives and close all browser windows/tabs (necessary to terminate recent user sessions)
- Log in using FIFA Single Sign On option (the option on the left side)
- After you've entered your e-mail, a code will be sent to you. Enter it and hit Sign in.
Hint: in some cases, e.g. if your user is already a member of a different organisation other than FIFA, you'll be asked for your Microsoft account password instead. Don't use your Archives password in this case. It would not work. Use your Microsoft account password. - Accept the Permissions request
- Click Continue on the trust question
- Great. Your user now has access to fifa.org. Second part, secure your user account with a second factor. Click the START button.
- PingID is the multifactor authentication (MFA) solution provider used. It is recommended to use your mobile phone and pair it using the PingID app. Obviously, you can also use any other authentication method offered below. PingID app can be downloaded for iOS and Android. Pair your phone now by scanning the QR code with your PingID app.
For more detailed info on the PingID setup you can open this PDF
- Authentication is in progress...
- Excellent! You now have access to the FIFA Archives with an Entra ID account. Last part, merge your archive user accounts. Click "CONFIRM MERGE".
- Check your mailbox for an e-mail with the subject "[FIFA Archives] Merge user account" (be patient, sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes)
Hint: Some of our users incorporate auto-moving of e-mails (coming from no-reply@archives.fifa.org) in a defined folder. Look inside this folder to find the email with the subject "[FIFA Archives] Merge user account" or search your whole mailbox for this term, including the quotation marks. - Click the button "Confirm user merge" in the received e-mail from no-reply@archives.fifa.org
- Confirm one last time
- Your accounts are being merged...
- Congratulations! You've finished your switch to Entra ID. You are all set now.
Additional steps for AFD tool users
- We encourage our users to use this tool for faster and more stable downloads
One tiny backdraw in goinig through the user merge process is that you have to re-link the AFD tool. Let us show you how to do it:
- Open Imagen Accelerated File Delivery (AFD) tool
- Click the + icon to add a site
- Paste https://www.archives.fifa.com in URL input field and click Next
- A new window has opened. Choose FIFA Single Sign On as the login option
- Fill-out the needed authentication entries
- Accept the AFD request
- Congratulations. You have connected the archive with the AFD tool. If you like, you can delete the obsolete old entry
